The magnificent Ludlow Castle stands perched high above the River Teme with its tall stone walls that embrace the market town centre.

Ludlow is the ultimate example of a modern medieval market town with over 450 timbered buildings set in and around the many small side streets, inviting you to explore and find the old fashioned tea rooms, delicatessens, Michelin restaurants, antique shops and the busy local farmers markets in the castle square.

The magnificent Ludlow Castle stands perched high above the River Teme with its tall stone walls that embrace the market town centre.

Ludlows St Laurences’s Parish Church is one of the larges parish churches in England and its tower boasts one of the finest 10 bells in the country.

The Feathers Hotel dates back to 1619, the reign of King James I. It takes its name from the motifs of ostrich feathers forming part of the timber framed facade.

Ludlow has its own golf course and race course.

In 2007, Ludlow was the first town in England to be awarded the prestigious Cittaslow award in recognition of the quality of life it has to offer.
